Love your mother, buy a native plant!

There is nothing better we can do for mother earth than plant a native. Since I have added more natives to my garden, it is humming with life. Even the potted plants draw a lot of attention from insects, I have American Lady caterpillars on the pussy toes, ladybugs and bees everywhere, and saw my first zebra swallowtail yesterday on the golden alexanders.

Planting natives leads to a beautiful garden and a garden that is alive! My next plant sale is this Friday and Saturday May 17 & 18 from 9a-2p at 47 Birds Nest Way in Shepherdstown, WV. I hope you can come by and get some plants like the lovely False Blue Indigo (pictured) that is starting to bloom!
