Fall for Natives

This Friday and Saturday, Sept 26th and 27th, from 9a-4p I will have my final fall plant sale at 47 Birds Nest Way in Shepherdstown. My inventory this week is smaller than I had hoped, but it is for a good reason. This summer I was able to supply three groups with discounted plants for their native plant projects:

1) 75 plants to the C&O Canal Days Native Plant Sale

2) 50 plants to Bee City Pollinator Garden at Morgans Grove plus 12 donated plants

3) 120 plants to St Agnes parish for their Chesapeake Bay Watershed Grant

Additionally, I have sold numerous plants to both returning and new customers eager to transform their gardens and lawns into native sanctuaries. Having fewer native plants in pots and more in the ground is great news for our community! I am deeply grateful to all of you who have purchased plants and for the change we are creating together. If you haven't had the chance to visit my gardens and nursery this season and are in search of plants, I have some beautiful fall bloomers like the American Beautyberry shrub and Turtlehead, pictured above, as well as shrubs, grasses, and perennials. Feel free to email me with any requests for next spring, as I will soon begin planning, seeding, and ordering plugs. Happy Fall!
