Rain, sun, rain, sun, repeat. Typically native plants need to be watered heavily upon planting and then watered again every week that we don't receive rain and the temperatures exceed 80 degrees. With our rain and sun pattern I have not needed to water any of the plants I've added to my garden this spring. So take advantage of these great conditions and please come shop my new plant offerings this week and next!
In addition to two types of penstemon and spiderwort (the blooming plants pictured on this post) I have added heaps of summer and fall bloomers: phlox, skullcap "Appalachian Blues", lyreleaf sage, coneflowers, black eyed susan, false sunflower, turtlehead, asters, cardinal flower, milkweeds, and more. The full selection of shrubs and grasses are also ready for sale. I hope you'll come visit, rain or shine and find some great plants for your native gardens.
Perennials are $4-7 per quart, $8-12 per gallon. Grasses are $8-10 per gallon. Native vines are $9 each and shrubs are $8-18 depending on size and age.
